Outfit by Mango Barcelona

Fashion day today! Yesterday while I was waiting for a meeting with a friend I walk around Regent Street (I had met in Piccadilly Circus, of course) and I couldn't resist get into the enormous Mango store. I fell in love with almost everything (I really hate spring and summer time because everything is ideal) but I will suggest you one outfit to dress this time (this time when you don't know if you should wear short with or without tights or jeans with flip-flops). So, let's go:

The item I love the most and the star of my post is this colorful jacket inspirated in boho made by cotton. Lovely!

The main color of the jacket is beige and black, and there is a  brush-stroke of red. We will take advantage of the latter and we will match with:

Day outfit: The best matched is combine the jacket with red shorts and brown belt (as you can see in the picture) and brown sandals and brown handbag.

Night outfit:  match the same jacket but with long black trousers or shorts like this style:

I really love the first one, with red hight-heels and one red clutche.

Everything sponsored by Mango.

A luxury out of reach for most.

Who doesn't know Harrods? The big luxury store located in one of the most prestigious borough in London, Knightsbridge and Chelsea. The store occupies 22.000 m2! The shop has 300 departments that offer a wide range of luxury products and services. They include clothing for women, men , children, electronics, jewelry, sporting gear, bridal trousseau, pets and pet accessories, toys, food and drink, health and beauty items, packaged gifts, stationery, housewares, home appliances, furniture..and much more.
After being the whole morning visiting around the store, Harrods also offers the service of 32 restaurants, serving everything from high tea to tapas. I suggest you to spend a couple of hours (if you can resist stay less) where I call "chocolate floor". There exist a floor where is plenty of chocolate and sweets. It is really amazing, and the smell... grr!

If you can afford you can hire a personal shopping-assistance programme known as "by appointment" or visit a tailor in the same store. Also if you have splashed out on amazing dresses because you couldn't resist, Harrods has personal Financial Services for you, or the Harrods Bank.

Other curious services are for example: private event planing and catering, food delivery, a wine steward, bespoke "picnic" hampers and gift boxes, bespoke cakes or bespoke fragrances formulations.

It is an amazing store to spend a little while visiting it. It is worth. Up to 300.000 customers visit the shop on peak days, comprising the highest proportion of customers from non-English speaking countries of any department store in London.

In Harrods lies one memorial of Diana, Princess of Wales. Located at the base of the Egyptian Escalator, consisting of photographs of the two behind a pyramid-shaped display that holds a wine glass smudged with lipstick from Diana's last dinner as well as what is described as an engagement ring Dodi purchased the day before they died.

So, please visit it because is so worth. But, be careful!, from 1989 Harrods has had a dress code. It was so strict but nowadays a wide range of outfits for everyone is possible to get inside.

*History key:  the first escalator in the world was settled in Harrods in 1898. Customers hesitated about using it, that is why Harrods offered Brandy to their costumers to take awe out.

EVENT: This weekend you can enjoy the 10% disccount in many items from Harrods, only saturday and sunday.

From Piccadilly Circus to the history.

With this marvelous weather is impossible to stay at home any minute. The sun welcome you to walk around the city and explore some haunts of London. Today I will introduce you Piccadilly circus, one of the most famous and visited plaza in London. See and stay for a minute gazing the plaza could be good but it could be so much better if you know a little bit of what is behind these beautiful buildings. So, now we are get the tube or the bus to get to the Plaza. (Piccadilly line: Piccadilly Circus). Is too easy.

Piccadilly Circus is one of the favorite place to congregate or to meet with everybody before going anywhere. So, here is the picture I'm sure it will be the unique time you will see the plaza less crowded. The circus was created to connect Carlton House  (where Prince Regent resided) with Regent's Park. The first thing you will see are big buildings and the advs. Personally, buildings from this circus is one of my favorite sites to contemplate in London. They are gorgeous. The circus looks its best at night, when the flashing advertisement panels really shine against the dark sky.
At the centre of the circus is the famous lead statue, the Angel of Christian Charity (best known as Anteros) dedicated to the philanthropist and child-labour abolitionist Lord Shaftersbury (one of more important man in the history of the UK). Actually it is a fountain but it doesn't throw water because of a  glitch the same day of the inauguration. While the statue is generally believed to depict Eros, it was created as an image of his twin brother, Anteros. Gilbert (the sculptor) described Anteros as portraying "reflective and mature love, as apposed to Eros or Cupid, the frivolous tyrant".
Just east of the circus is London Trocadero, a huge and soulless indoor amusement arcade that has six levels of hi-tech, hight-cost fun for yougsters, along with cinemas, US-themed restaurants and bowling alleys. Piccadilly Circus is surrounded by several major tourist attractions, including the Shaftersbury Memorial, Criterion Theatre, London Pavilion and several major retail stores. Numerous nightclubs and bars are located in the area and neighbouring Soho, including the former Chinawhite club.

From Piccadilly Circus we can drive ourselves to Regent Street. It is one of the major shopping streets in London's west end, well known to tourists and Londoners alike, and famour for its Christmas illuminations. Every building in Regent Street is protected as a "listed building", at least Grade II status, and togheter they form the Regent Street Conservation Area.

The street is amazing but what I really like is the buildings, they are so majestic. In the street you can find a lot of shops as: The Apple Store, Café Royal, Hamleys (toy shop with 6 floors and it claims to be the largest and oldest shop in the world, an unforgettable experience inside for child and adults), Liberty ( The Liberty department store was originally known for its role at the retail end of the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts Movement styles).

If you keep walking through Regent Street you will get to Oxford Circus and Oxford street, place that you already know for sure!

take care :)

Saint George.

Saint George is widely known as the patron of the UK, but is a day celebrated in another countries as mine, Spain (but Catalunya). On April 23rd many lovers show their love with a red rose for her and one book for him as a symbol of Sant George (St. Jordi). In celebration of this, Borough market, one of the most known market in London, has teamed up with the Government of Catalonia for a special day to honour our shared saint, diverse cultures and traditions.
According to myth a dragon terrified the small village Montblanc of Barcelona. The dragon ate all the animals of Montblanc and when there were no animals left, it started to eat the people of the village. The village chose each year a person to satisfy the hunger of the evil dragon. When the name of the young princess came up Saint George came rinding and killed the dragon with his sword in the last moment. This myth about Saint George can be found all over Europe (England, Georgia, Greece...until 15 european countries), but the Catalans have been drawn by the story to a higher degree than in most other place. The rose motif stems from the myth, since after Saint George killed the dragon, a rose came up where the dragon's blood was spilled. The book comes from the International Book Day: both Shakespeare and Cervantes died on April 23rd, both in 1616.

On sunday 21st April, Borough Market trades will be showcasting the best of their produce including a special English charculerie platter from Cannon and Cannon and dragon-themed baked goods from Bread Ahead. There will also be Demostration Kitchens throughout the day focusing on english and catalan dishes.
The exchanging of roses and books as a sign of resepct in sometihing of a Catalan custom and the UK delegation of the Government of Catalonia will perform the ritual with members of the public, while traders will hand out roses to revellers throughout the day. there will be also tradicional music and entertainment.

You can't keep out! Join the Borough market tomorrow!

to get in: you have to cross the river to the another opposite side. The closer tube stop is: London Bridge with jubilee or northern line and walk 3 minutes.

Hyde Park

Today it has been the perfect weather in London for a long while. Forecast predicted a sunny day with 18 -20 degrees for today 2 weeks ago. I thought they had been too positive with the weather because yesterday It was rain the whole day. But the prediction was absolutely true! We have had an amazing day. When there are days like that, what you should do is going to visit and explore Hyde Park.
The Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in central London. It is frequent to see people doing some jogging or running but most people go to enjoy a relax moment inside one of the most stressful cities in the world. There is a lake in the middle with ducks and swans. And you can feed the hundreds squirrels  there are in all the park. They are so funny, and fast!

Is the perfect plan to spend time with your family or better with your partner, you just lie down on the grass and laugh and talk until the end.
In summer in Hyde Park is where some performances lie, for example July 4th will be Bon Jovi.

To get in: Tube until HydePark Corner.

Take care :)

Springing Spring.

It is widely-known but not felt specially here in London the big start of a new season, my favorite after summer of course: Spring!

So, if you need a reason to splash out your money in clothes, here you have: new season, new trends, new needs in your wardrobe.

Tomorrow is a good day to go shopping because the forecast has predicted drizzling day for tomorrow (not sunday, I have a great surprise for sunday tomorrow in my new post).

I suggest you going to the downtown, I mean Oxford and Regent St. It will be healthy to connect with another people on the street after being the whole week working or studying as me in my apartment.

And here my suggestions to fill your wardrobe. Spring means fresh and hot, so let's try with new colors: this season the must is the pastel colors. And the successful color will be the soar yellow and the orange. For the first step tomorrow I want you to choose among this outfits. For me the best one is the firt one: the lemon trouser. I really like it. The fourth are from Zara, and the last from H&M.  I guess that you catch my tip about the Gym and now these trousers will fit you perfectly as a current model.

All of them are so cheap, between 9.90 and 30 pounds.

To match: for the day outfit, try with a loose long V-neck white sleeveless and a leather black jacket in your shoulders. And for your feed maybe Convers will make you to feel more smart-casual, or better to stylize your body could be better to wear brown boots with a little high-heel.

At night, I suggest to mach the trousers with a short black sleeveless or better a black strapless and your lucky black high-heel shoes to rock the night. You will, for sure.

And finally, I could not resist to attempt you buying the craving of the week: This amazing and suitable  handbag! it is from Zara and is really posh. You already have realized that "indian" trend is the new way in fashion for the next season, so let's get equipped by ourselves!

Take care :)

Double plan for Saturday night.

Finally Saturday, the best day of the whole week: saturday. For today at night I would like to suggest two different plans:

On the one hand, relaxing plan: if you are like in my position (studying the whole -all right, part!- day) or you are tired of being on tourism is your plan. Movie plan. Two weeks ago I watched a film that I really loved and I would like to share with pleasure. It is called "Coco Chanel". It is based on the Gabriella Chanel, the founder of the brand "Chanel".I would be so glad to explain the argument but I'm sure that it would be better if not because in this way you would be on the edge of your seat. Personally speaking it was so spine- tingling until the end.

On the opposite, my plan B suggested is getting dress to kill and go out tonight. Maddox is a very good and posh option. But you should know that you must go very smart because they have strict dress code to get in. The price is 20 quids to get inside (if you are lucky and if you go early because normally there are a lot of VIPs tables and they have preferences (of course...). Furthermore, it is most frequently visited by celebrities, and of course our excellency prince Harry. I really like this club. It is widely known as the best club of London nowadays, and it is worth.
Maddox lies on the street with the same name: Maddox street. It is situated in one parallel street behind Regent St.  It is one of my favorites clubs, I swear.

I am in A. And you?

A fairytale: Westfield.

I have to say that one of the best things of my new life here in London is after spending a day with friends and people I arrive at home and I have my own space just for me. Not having someone asking you about your staff or just because you don't have to share your thoughts. It is good to learn about being alone for a while because everybody needs his own space. Wherever if is for listen to music, chatting or read a good book. For example, just now 8pm I'm writing this post in my candlelit room with an orange warm tea in my hands while I'm listen to my favorite playlist on spoty.  That's life. Tha'ts my new life here and I really love it. The reason why I've been so busy today is the topic of my new post here. Today I've been with a few friends in Stratford in a shopping center called Westfield. It was said that this center was the biggest of the world but nowadays there exist one bigger in Zaragoza, Spain. But once I've been there I can say that is really really enough to spend a day even two days.
When you are inside you are in awe of been bust because actually the first impression is wonder yourself witch shop you will go first. Accept it, you and me share the same passion.

To get in you should know that is zone 3, so if you go by tube and you have the weekly price for zone 1 and 2, you can't. Let's by bus! The bus will bring you until the station specially built for the Olympics last year. There is an amazing main entrance and once inside you can start splash out your budget. There is a ton of different shops wherever the brand you are looking for. The must-go: Forever 21 (just getting in), Hollister, Zara and Victoria'secret. Yes! There is one Victoria'secret in! Too difficult to find here! Really really really AMAZING! I love it. And it's perfect to buy so sexy lingerie. Personally I've bought because you don't know when you will have special change to wear it...
If you have visited all shops and you have not decided about your items, you can go to the InSpiration. The InSpiration is a room where you must been quite because the objective is sitting and think about your shopping. I knew about these kind of rooms when I first was in another big shopping center and I'm not sure about who made that weird idea but I promised myself that one day I would visit one of them.

I suggest you going to the third floor of Lewis shop, particularly from the sport section there is an amazing landscape of the surroundings where the Olympics games'12 were laid. And of course you can see the London Olympic Stadium with his particular shape of the Queen's crown.

After being around for hours for sure you will be hungry. You have already burn too much calories, so you can afford going to one fast-food store. My favorites: The McChicken menu from McDonalds or a delicious pizza from the franchise Pizza Express. Furthermore if you have your student card you can get with your mcdonalds menu a free McFlurry with your favorite topic.

After your café and your piece of milk chocolate I suggest you going to the Casino. There is one huge Casino, unique in the whole London. My tip is join the casino as a new membership and you will have a card and a gift that is different every day. Today It was free drink! So, I got my glass of red whine and I sat in one roulette and started playing. It was really funny and it is another way to enjoy amusing and unforgettable moments. If you win your bets you can go shopping again or recover your money. Or going to the InSpiration room.

Back to routine in a new way.

Hello! I'm sorry to let the blog semi-abandoned these days but I've been in Spain for Easter holidays. Easter holidays in Spain is a good while to go to the beach and sunbathe to get a little bit of color and charge mood to afford the bad weather of London again. I've arrived just two days ago and today, April 4th is snowing!

In my relaxing days I've had so many time to think about my life and about me. I have in mind a project that it will be developed  soon, and I will explain here in the near future! But among these thoughts I toke a change in my look. Some people think that a change in your life should come with a change of look in any way. In my case I took the chance and finally I change my hair! I have an absolutely different look: I have fringe! And I'm here to show you how you can manage to get a posh fringe.

I found my inspiration in a spanish actress. Blanca Suárez. She is so gorgeous and I like this kind of fringe because it have a wild and wooly shape. who does it like formal lines?

And here two more examples of international celebrities as are Alexia and Adriana Lima with the same fringe.

Sometimes it is difficult to change somthing that you "like" or better said, you are comfortable. But don't be lazy and try new lines, change your look, change your life and do what you want. You are in London, the best and crazy city in the world. Get on board and join this new trend. The same day you will get acquainted with your hair. Join the free-style.
